winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt and seas 3 to 4 feet.
For the Storm Watch, north winds 35 to 45 kt with gusts up to
50 kt and seas 6 to 9 feet possible.

* WHERE...Nantucket Sound.

* WHEN...For the Heavy Freezing Spray Warning, until 1 AM EST
Saturday. For the Small Craft Advisory, until 10 PM EST this
evening. For the Storm Watch, from Sunday morning through late
Sunday night.

* IMPACTS...Operating a vessel in heavy freezing spray is
hazardous. Freezing spray may render mechanical and electronic
components inoperative. Rapid ice accretion on decks and
superstructures may result in a catastrophic loss of
stability. Storm force winds and hazardous seas could capsize
or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should prepare for dangerous accumulation of ice on
their vessel. If possible, remain in port, avoid the warning area
or conduct mitigation. During freezing spray conditions, the U.S.
Coast Guard advises mariners to check and ensure all life-saving
devices remain free of ice.

Mariners should prepare to remain in port, alter course, and/or
secure the vessel before the onset of severe conditions.
